Tankless systems usually cost more upfront. Installation can involve upgrades to gas lines, electrical systems, or venting, depending on the setup. While the initial investment is higher, many homeowners consider the long-term benefits worth it.

Tankless water heaters are typically more energy-efficient because they only heat water when it’s needed. This can reduce energy waste and lower monthly utility costs over time.
